Description
The Westinghouse WGen7500c has a Westinghouse OHV 4-stroke engine that is 420 cc. It gives out 120/240V, runs on gasoline, and has a running wattage of 7,500W and a peak wattage of 9,500W. The generator has both a simple and elegant pull-start mechanism and an electric starter (battery included). It can make up to 72 dBA of noise (slightly noisier than running a dishwasher For even more convenience, you can also start the WGen7500c from a distance (key fob included). With a full tank, the WGen7500c can run for up to 16 hours, thanks to its 6.6-gallon fuel tank (fuel consumption is approximately 0.41 GPH). The WGen7500c can’t power sensitive electronics because its THD is quite high (about 23%).
Outlets
Two 120V 20A (5-20R) GFCI duplexes and a 120/240V 30A (L14-30R) receptacle are among the 5 AC outlets on the control panel. The WGen7500c is ready for a transfer switch because it has a twist-lock L14-30R receptacle. It can be easily connected to a breaker box and can power your home if the power goes out.
Features
The WGen7500c’s control panel has a handy meter that shows voltage, frequency, and lifetime hours. This helps you keep track of its status and activity. The generator has a built-in fuel gauge that makes it quick, easy, and convenient to check how much gas is in it. For safety, the generator has an overload protection (circuit breaker) and an automatic low oil shut-off, so you can use it without worrying. It also has a sensor for carbon monoxide. This sensor is meant to measure the amount of carbon monoxide in the air while the generator is running. If the generator isn’t set up right and carbon monoxide levels get too high, the generator will turn off by itself. It’s a nice extra safety measure, but don’t forget to take your generator outside at all times. The Westinghouse WGen7500c comes with the usual paperwork and an owner’s manual , which lets you start it right away. It also comes with a key fob, funnel, tool kit, battery charger, and oil. You can also buy a storage cover that is made by the company.
Mobility
The Westinghouse WGen7500c is made with a typical open frame that is L27.2 x W26.1 x H26 in, This gives it support and stability and lets it be raised above ground level. The design works well in rough places and for hard outdoor use. Even though this device is technically portable (meaning it can be moved), it can be hard to move and use without special tools because it weighs 197.1 pounds. But its wheel kit (dia:10) makes up for the fact that it is hard to move around “) and a folding handle that makes it easy to move once it’s on the ground.

- We compared more than 500 portable generators at 50% load. We found that there is “skewed right” distribution for the difference between 50% load and 25% load and the median comes at 1.43. With this number we converter all the 25% load runtime to 50% load. Same with the propane efficiency, where median is 1.38.
- For some generators where propane runtime was not given, we used NIST 1994 GGE (Gasoline Gallon Equivalent) formula: 5.66 lbs. of propane = 1 gal of gasoline. All propane runtime is for 20 lbs. propane tank (4.7 gallons).
- Unlike many other sites, we actually tried to find out information about each of the above requirements. However, we are human and are therefore capable of the odd oversight or mistake. Please let us know if you spot any missing or erroneous values so that we can fix them.
About the Manufacturer
The Westinghouse Electric Corporation was established in 1886, and its heritage business, Westinghouse Outdoor Power Equipment, is situated in the US. The Westinghouse name continues to be the brand name for many of its electrical solutions, which range throughout the scale from power plants to portable generators, despite the fact that the firm has been acquired and integrated into the American CBS. The primary product of Westinghouse’s Outdoor Power Equipment division, portable generators were previously produced by Westpro Power Systems, which Midwest Equipment acquired in 2016. Under the Westinghouse brand, lawn tools including trimmers and blowers are also offered for sale. Their entire line of items is American-designed. However, according to a number of sites, they are frequently made in China.
Warranty Information
A warranty covers the Westinghouse WGen7500c for up to 3 years. This warranty may not cover all parts of the generator or may only cover certain parts.
