Description
The 208 cc Energizer OHV 4-stroke engine, which runs on gasoline, is the heart of the Energizer eZG3500. It has a 120/240V output and a running power of 3,000W and a peak power of 3,500W. The generator can make up to 76 dBA of noise (less noisy than a vacuum cleaner). It uses a simple, traditional pull-start mechanism to get going. The eZG3500 can run for up to 19.5 hours on a full tank of 4.2 gallons of gas (fuel consumption is approximately 0.22 GPH).
Outlets
The control panel has 3 AC outlets: a duplex 120V 20A (5-20R) outlet, a 120/240V 30A (L14-30R) outlet, and a 120V/240V 20A (5-20R) outlet. The eZG3500 is transfer switch ready because it has a twist-lock L14-30R receptacle. You can easily connect it to your breaker box to power your home when the power goes out.
Features
If the oil level is too low, a light on the device will show. The generator has a built-in fuel gauge that makes it quick, easy, and convenient to check how much gas is in it. As for safety, the device has an overload protection (circuit breaker) that lets you use it without worry. The Energizer eZG3500 comes with the usual paperwork and an owner’s manual , so you can start using it right away. It also comes with oil, a funnel, and a tool kit.
Mobility
The Energizer eZG3500 is 25.6 inches long, 23.6 inches wide, and 21.9 inches high. Together with its traditional, open-frame design, they support the generator and allow it to be raised above the ground. The generator is built to work well outside and in rough places. Even though this device is technically portable (meaning it can be moved), it can be hard to move and use it without special tools because it weighs 117 pounds. But its wheel kit and folding handle make it easy to move once it’s on the ground, which makes up for its lack of maneuverability.

- We compared more than 500 portable generators at 50% load. We found that there is “skewed right” distribution for the difference between 50% load and 25% load and the median comes at 1.43. With this number we converter all the 25% load runtime to 50% load. Same with the propane efficiency, where median is 1.38.
- For some generators where propane runtime was not given, we used NIST 1994 GGE (Gasoline Gallon Equivalent) formula: 5.66 lbs. of propane = 1 gal of gasoline. All propane runtime is for 20 lbs. propane tank (4.7 gallons).
- Unlike many other sites, we actually tried to find out information about each of the above requirements. However, we are human and are therefore capable of the odd oversight or mistake. Please let us know if you spot any missing or erroneous values so that we can fix them.
About the Manufacturer
Energizer Holdings, Inc., a company that was established in 1896, is best known for producing Energizer, Varta, Rayovac, and Eveready batteries. However, Energizer has worked in a variety of industries over the course of its existence, including power generation. Most of the power generators offered by Energizer Brands LLC, a division of Energizer Holdings, Inc., are portable and come in both conventional and inverted designs. Although their manufacturing is outsourced to other countries, all Energizer generators are designed and supported in North America.
