Description
The powerful and versatile WEN DF475T has an output of 120/240V thanks to its dual-fuel technology. Even though it runs on gasoline, it has a running wattage of 3,800W and a peak wattage of 4,750W. It runs on propane and has a rated power of 3500 watts and a starting power of 4350 watts. The generator has a noise level of 69 dBA, which is quieter than a normal conversation. It has both a traditional pull-start and an easy-to-use electric starter (battery included). With a fuel capacity of 4 gallons, the DF475T can run for about 11 hours at 0.5 load on gasoline (using about 0.36 GPH), or about 7 hours on a 20-pound propane tank (using about 0.67 GPH).
Outlets
The control panel has 3 AC outlets: a duplex 120V 20A (5-20R) GFCI outlet, a 120/240V 30A (L14-30R) outlet, and a 120V/240V 20A (5-20R) receptacle. Also, it has 1 DC outlet: a 12V 8A plug that looks like a cigarette lighter so you can easily charge your batteries. The DF475T has a twist-lock L14-30R receptacle, which means it is ready for a transfer switch. It can power your home during a power outage because it is easy to connect to your breaker box.
Features
The generator has a built-in fuel gauge that makes it quick, easy, and convenient to find out how much gas is in it. In terms of safety, the generator can be used without worry because it has a circuit breaker for overheating and an automatic shut-off when the oil level gets too low. The WEN DF475T comes with the standard paperwork and an owner’s manual, which will help you get the device up and running quickly. It also comes with the following accessories: oil and propane hose.
Mobility
The WEN DF475T is 23.2 inches long, 17.5 inches wide, and 18.5 inches high. Together with its traditional, open-frame design, they support the generator and allow it to be raised above the ground. The design works well in rough places and for hard outdoor use. Even though this generator is technically “portable” in the sense that it can be moved, it is very hard to move by hand because it weighs 105.8 pounds. Once it is on the ground, it can still be moved easily with the help of its wheels and folding handle.

- We compared more than 500 portable generators at 50% load. We found that there is “skewed right” distribution for the difference between 50% load and 25% load and the median comes at 1.43. With this number we converter all the 25% load runtime to 50% load. Same with the propane efficiency, where median is 1.38.
- For some generators where propane runtime was not given, we used NIST 1994 GGE (Gasoline Gallon Equivalent) formula: 5.66 lbs. of propane = 1 gal of gasoline. All propane runtime is for 20 lbs. propane tank (4.7 gallons).
- Unlike many other sites, we actually tried to find out information about each of the above requirements. However, we are human and are therefore capable of the odd oversight or mistake. Please let us know if you spot any missing or erroneous values so that we can fix them.
About the Manufacturer
Nick Anton started WEN Products, an American power tool manufacturer and distributor, in 1951. WEN Products says that its research in random orbital technology contributed to the creation of current chainsaws, soldering tools, and wet sharpeners. The Illinois-based corporation increased the range of power tools that were available through its distribution network, including presses, drills, and of course, power generators. WEN is a distributor, and the majority of the products in its inventory are branded imports from Asian manufacturers.
Warranty Information
The WEN DF475T has a warranty that lasts up to 2 years. This warranty may not cover all parts of the generator or may only cover certain parts.
