The powerful and versatile Ford FG7750PBE can put out either 120V or 240V thanks to its dual-fuel technology. Even though it runs on gasoline, it has a running wattage of 6,250W and a peak wattage of 7,750W. It is powered by propane and has a rated power of 6000 watts and a starting power of 7500 watts. Ford’s Switch & Go technology lets you change from gasoline to propane or propane to gasoline while the generator is running. The generator can make up to 76 dBA of noise (less noisy than a vacuum cleaner). It has both a traditional pull-start mechanism and a simple but elegant electric starter (battery included). With a full tank of gas and a fuel capacity of 6.6 gallons, the FG7750PBE can run for about 10.5 hours at 0.5 load (fuel consumption is approximately 0.63 GPH). It can run for about 8 hours if propane is used (on a 20 lbs tank – propane consumption around 0.59 GPH).
Outlets
Two 120V 20A (5-20R) GFCI duplexes, a 120V 30A (L5-30R) receptacle, and a 120/240V 30A (L14-30R) receptacle are all on the control panel. Even though this Ford generator is not RV Ready, an L5-30P to TT-30R adaptor can be used to easily connect it to an RV. The FG7750PBE is also transfer switch ready because it has a twist-lock L14-30R receptacle. You can easily connect it to your breaker box to power your home when the power goes out.
Features
A digital data center, which is part of the FG7750PBE’s control panel, lets you check on its status and activity. It also tells you how many hours it has run in its lifetime. The generator has a built-in fuel gauge that makes it easy to see at a glance how much gas is in the tank. From a safety point of view, the product has a circuit breaker for overload protection and an automatic shut-off for low oil, so you can use it without worry. Along with the basic paperwork and an owner’s manual, which will help you start the generator right away, the Ford FG7750PBE comes with a propane hose, oil, funnel, and tool kit.

The Ford FG7750PBE is 30 inches long, 29.5 inches wide, and 25 inches tall. Together with its traditional, open-frame design, they support the generator and allow it to be raised above the ground. - We compared more than 500 portable generators at 50% load. We found that there is “skewed right” distribution for the difference between 50% load and 25% load and the median comes at 1.43. With this number we converter all the 25% load runtime to 50% load. Same with the propane efficiency, where median is 1.38.
- For some generators where propane runtime was not given, we used NIST 1994 GGE (Gasoline Gallon Equivalent) formula: 5.66 lbs. of propane = 1 gal of gasoline. All propane runtime is for 20 lbs. propane tank (4.7 gallons).
