Description
The 80 cc Ducar OHV 4-stroke engine powers the Ford FG2200iS. It runs on gasoline and has a running wattage of 2,000W and a peak wattage of 2,200W. It gives off 120V. Also, since it can work in parallel (the FGiPK30 parallel kit is not included), its power can be doubled if it is connected to a second unit that works with it. The noise level of the inverter generator is 59 dBA, which is quieter than rain. It has a simple pull-start mechanism. With a full tank, the FG2200iS can run for about 6 hours at 0.5 load (fuel use is about 0.2 GPH). This is because it can hold 1.2 gallons of fuel. The FG2200iS makes a clean sine wave with a Total Harmonic Distortion of less than 5%, so it’s safe to plug sensitive electronics into AC outlets (THD).
Outlets
The control panel has the following two AC outlets: duplex 120V 20A (5-20R). It also has 2 DC outlets: a 12V 8A receptacle (like a cigarette lighter) that makes it easy to charge your batteries and a 5V USB port that makes it easy to charge devices like cell phones and tablets.
Features
The lights tell you if there isn’t enough oil, if the generator is ready, and if the generator is overloaded. As for safety features, the device has a circuit breaker for overheating and an automatic shut-off for low oil, so you can use it without worry. The Ford FG2200iS comes with basic instructions and an owner’s manual that will help you start the generator quickly. It also comes with a funnel, oil, battery charging cables, and a tool kit.
Mobility
The Ford FG2200iS looks better than a typical open frame generator because it has a closed inverter generator (L21.9 x W12.8 x H18.3 in). This kind of design is the most modern and easy way to make power for fun. The FG2200iS is a portable lightweight generator because it only weighs 50 lbs. The power of the product can be used on the go, since it is easy for one person to move. The case is also made with a handle that makes it easy to carry and adds to its convenience.

- We compared more than 500 portable generators at 50% load. We found that there is “skewed right” distribution for the difference between 50% load and 25% load and the median comes at 1.43. With this number we converter all the 25% load runtime to 50% load. Same with the propane efficiency, where median is 1.38.
- For some generators where propane runtime was not given, we used NIST 1994 GGE (Gasoline Gallon Equivalent) formula: 5.66 lbs. of propane = 1 gal of gasoline. All propane runtime is for 20 lbs. propane tank (4.7 gallons).
- Unlike many other sites, we actually tried to find out information about each of the above requirements. However, we are human and are therefore capable of the odd oversight or mistake. Please let us know if you spot any missing or erroneous values so that we can fix them.
About the Manufacturer
Ford is mostly associated with Henry Ford’s Ford Motor Company, a storied US automobile company established in 1903, but its trademark can also be seen on a variety of other products, including power equipment. Affordable portable generators, water pumps, and pressure washers are available at Ford Power Equipment. Although they are manufactured and supplied by Pulsar Inc., which has a manufacturing facility in Asia, generators are actually licensed under the Ford trademark. The business does, however, guarantee excellent customer service and pre-delivery testing, and customers generally give their products very positive evaluations.
Warranty Information
There is a warranty on the Ford FG2200iS for up to 2 years. This warranty may not cover all parts of the generator or may only cover certain parts. Ford’s customer service number is 1-866-591-8921 if you want to find out more about the warranty on a Ford generator. Check Ford Website for more information.
