Description
The Ford FG11050PBE has 120/240V and is powerful and versatile thanks to its dual-fuel technology. When it is running on gasoline, it has a running wattage of 9,000W and a peak wattage of 11,050W. When run on propane, it has a rated power of 8550 watts and a peak power of 10500 watts. Ford’s Switch & Go technology lets you change from gasoline to propane or propane to gasoline while the generator is running. The generator has a noise level of 78 dBA, which is quieter than a dishwasher. It has a simple pull-start mechanism as well as an easy-to-use electric starter (battery included). With a fuel capacity of 6.6 gallons, the FG11050PBE can run for about 9.5 hours at 0.5 load on a full tank of gasoline (fuel consumption is approximately 0.69 GPH). With propane, it can last up to about 8 hours (on a 20 lbs tank – propane consumption around 0.59 GPH).
Outlets
Two 120V 20A (5-20R) GFCI duplexes, a 120V 30A (L5-30R) receptacle, and a 120/240V 50A (14-50R) receptacle are all on the control panel. If you have an RV with a 50-amp service, this Ford unit is ready to go because it has a 14-50R outlet. With an L5-30P to TT-30R adaptor, its L5-30R plug can also be used to connect a simple RV.
Features
The FG11050PBE’s control panel has a digital data center that helps you keep track of its status and activity by giving you information about how long it has been running. The generator has a built-in fuel gauge that makes it quick, easy, and convenient to check how much gas is in the machine. As far as safety goes, the device has an automatic shut-off for low oil and a circuit breaker for overheating, so you can use it without worrying. The Ford FG11050PBE comes with basic instructions and an owner’s manual that will help you start the generator quickly. It also comes with a funnel, oil, a propane hose, and a tool kit.
Mobility
The Ford FG11050PBE has a typical open frame that is 30 in, long, 29.3 in, wide, and 25 in, high. This gives it support and stability and gives you the option of raising it above ground level. This type of design is great for tough environments and heavy outdoor use. Even though this generator is technically “portable” in the sense that it can be moved, it is very hard to move by hand because it weighs 211 pounds. Still, its wheel kit (dia:10 “) and its handle that folds up, once it’s on the ground.

- We compared more than 500 portable generators at 50% load. We found that there is “skewed right” distribution for the difference between 50% load and 25% load and the median comes at 1.43. With this number we converter all the 25% load runtime to 50% load. Same with the propane efficiency, where median is 1.38.
- For some generators where propane runtime was not given, we used NIST 1994 GGE (Gasoline Gallon Equivalent) formula: 5.66 lbs. of propane = 1 gal of gasoline. All propane runtime is for 20 lbs. propane tank (4.7 gallons).
- Unlike many other sites, we actually tried to find out information about each of the above requirements. However, we are human and are therefore capable of the odd oversight or mistake. Please let us know if you spot any missing or erroneous values so that we can fix them.
About the Manufacturer
Ford is mostly associated with Henry Ford’s Ford Motor Company, a storied US automobile company established in 1903, but its trademark can also be seen on a variety of other products, including power equipment. Affordable portable generators, water pumps, and pressure washers are available at Ford Power Equipment. Although they are manufactured and supplied by Pulsar Inc., which has a manufacturing facility in Asia, generators are actually licensed under the Ford trademark. The business does, however, guarantee excellent customer service and pre-delivery testing, and customers generally give their products very positive evaluations.
Warranty Information
There is a warranty on the Ford FG11050PBE for up to 2 years. This warranty may not cover all parts of the generator or may only cover certain parts.
