Description
The A-iPower SUA2000iD’s dual-fuel technology lets it put out 120V and gives it a lot of power and flexibility. If it is powered by gasoline, the device has a running power of 1,600W and a starting power of 2,000W. If it runs on propane, it has a rated power of 1500 watts and a starting power of 1800 watts. Also, the generator can be connected to a second unit to make more power because it comes with a parallel kit. The noise level of the inverter generator is set at 52 dBA (just slightly more noisy than rainfall). It has a pull-start mechanism, which is a common way to start a motor. With a fuel capacity of 1.1 gallons, the SUA2000iD can run for up to 10 hours on a full tank of gas (fuel consumption is approximately 0.11 GPH). It can last up to 30 hours if you use propane (estimation based on a 20 lbs tank – propane consumption around 0.16 GPH). The SUA2000iD makes a clean sine wave. With a Total Harmonic Distortion (THD) of less than 3%, you can safely plug sensitive electronics into its AC outlets.
Outlets
There are two AC outlets on the control panel: a 120V 20A (5-20R) receptacle and a 120V 30A (L5-30R) receptacle. It also has 1 DC outlet: a 5V USB port (USB-A) that makes it easy to charge devices like cell phones or tablets. This A-iPower generator has an L5-30R receptacle, which makes it easy to hook it up to an RV with an L5-30P to TT-30R adaptor (included). But it’s still not ready for an RV.
Features
The lights tell you if the generator is too busy, if it’s ready, and if the oil level is too low. In terms of safety, the generator can be used without worry because it has a circuit breaker for overheating and an automatic shut-off when the oil level gets too low. The A-iPower SUA2000iD comes with a tool kit, RV adapter, propane hose, funnel, and oil, as well as basic instructions and an owner’s manual that will help you start the generator right away.
Mobility
The A-iPower SUA2000iD is an inverter generator, and its closed design (L20.9 x W12.4 x H21.1 in) makes it look better than traditional devices with open frames. The goal of this modern design is to give recreational users the best way to get power. The SUA2000iD is a portable lightweight generator because it only weighs 48 lbs. The device is easy for one person to move, so its power can be used while on the go. The handle, which is built into the case, is also helpful because it makes it easy to carry.

- We compared more than 500 portable generators at 50% load. We found that there is “skewed right” distribution for the difference between 50% load and 25% load and the median comes at 1.43. With this number we converter all the 25% load runtime to 50% load. Same with the propane efficiency, where median is 1.38.
- For some generators where propane runtime was not given, we used NIST 1994 GGE (Gasoline Gallon Equivalent) formula: 5.66 lbs. of propane = 1 gal of gasoline. All propane runtime is for 20 lbs. propane tank (4.7 gallons).
- Unlike many other sites, we actually tried to find out information about each of the above requirements. However, we are human and are therefore capable of the odd oversight or mistake. Please let us know if you spot any missing or erroneous values so that we can fix them.
About the Manufacturer
A-iPower, a small US-based business, is a new player in the generator industry. They sell engines, water pumps, pressure washers, and of course generators as part of their product line. Numerous conventional and inverted portable generators, many of which feature an electric starter, are available from A-iPower. The business has a number of locations, including a distribution hub in Wisconsin and a headquarters in California. But the entire manufacturing of their products is outsourced to China.
Warranty Information
There is a warranty on the A-iPower SUA2000iD for up to 3 years. This warranty may not cover all parts of the generator or may only cover certain parts. A-iPower generators come with a warranty that you can find out more about by calling A-iPower Customer Support at 1-855-888-3598. Check A-ipower Website for more information.
