Description
The Westinghouse iGen2500c is made with a Westinghouse OHV 4-stroke engine that is 98 cc and runs on gasoline. It has a 120V output and a running power of 2,200W and a peak power of 2,500W. Also, the device can work in parallel (but it doesn’t come with a Westinghouse WHPC Parallel Cord), so it can be linked to a similar or compatible device for more power. The noise level of the inverter generator is 52 dBA, which is just a little louder than rain. It has a traditional pull-start mechanism. Because it can hold 1 gallon of fuel, the iGen2500c can run for up to 10 hours on a full tank. It uses about 0.1 GPH of fuel per hour. The iGen2500c makes a clean sine wave with a Total Harmonic Distortion of less than 3%, so it’s safe to plug sensitive electronics into AC outlets (THD).
Outlets
The control panel has 2 AC outlets for the following: Duplex 120V 20A (5-20R). It also has 2 DC outlets: there are two 5V USB ports (USB-A) that make it easy to charge devices like cell phones and tablets.
Features
The iGen2500c’s control panel has a digital data center that shows the voltage, remaining run time, fuel level, and power output. This lets you keep track of the device’s status and activity. In addition to this information, there are some lights that let you know right away if the generator is overloaded, if it is ready, or if the oil level is too low. The inverter generator has a built-in fuel gauge, which makes it quick, easy, and convenient to check how much gas is in the machine. For safety, the generator has an automatic low oil shut-off and an overload protection (circuit breaker), so you can use it without worrying. It also has a sensor for carbon monoxide. This sensor is meant to measure the amount of carbon monoxide in the air while the generator is running. If the generator isn’t set up right and carbon monoxide levels get too high, the generator will turn off by itself. It’s a nice extra safety measure, but don’t forget to take your generator outside at all times. The Westinghouse iGen2500c comes with the usual paperwork and an owner’s manual , which lets you start it right away. It also comes with a funnel, a tool kit, and oil.
Mobility
The Westinghouse iGen2500c is an inverter generator, so its closed design (L19.8 x W11.7 x H17.9 in) looks better than traditional devices with open frames. This kind of design is the most modern and easy way to make power for fun. The iGen2500c is a portable lightweight generator because it only weighs 47.4 lbs. A single person should be able to move it around easily and get power wherever they go. It can also be carried easily thanks to a handle that is built into the case. This makes it even more convenient.

- We compared more than 500 portable generators at 50% load. We found that there is “skewed right” distribution for the difference between 50% load and 25% load and the median comes at 1.43. With this number we converter all the 25% load runtime to 50% load. Same with the propane efficiency, where median is 1.38.
- For some generators where propane runtime was not given, we used NIST 1994 GGE (Gasoline Gallon Equivalent) formula: 5.66 lbs. of propane = 1 gal of gasoline. All propane runtime is for 20 lbs. propane tank (4.7 gallons).
- Unlike many other sites, we actually tried to find out information about each of the above requirements. However, we are human and are therefore capable of the odd oversight or mistake. Please let us know if you spot any missing or erroneous values so that we can fix them.
About the Manufacturer
The Westinghouse Electric Corporation was established in 1886, and its heritage business, Westinghouse Outdoor Power Equipment, is situated in the US. The Westinghouse name continues to be the brand name for many of its electrical solutions, which range throughout the scale from power plants to portable generators, despite the fact that the firm has been acquired and integrated into the American CBS. The primary product of Westinghouse’s Outdoor Power Equipment division, portable generators were previously produced by Westpro Power Systems, which Midwest Equipment acquired in 2016. Under the Westinghouse brand, lawn tools including trimmers and blowers are also offered for sale. Their entire line of items is American-designed. However, according to a number of sites, they are frequently made in China.
Warranty Information
There is a warranty on the Westinghouse iGen2500c for up to 3 years. This warranty may not cover all parts of the generator or may only cover certain parts. Check out Westinghouse’s warranty policies if you want to know more about the warranty on Westinghouse generators. You can also call their customer service line at 1-855-944-3571.
