Description
With its dual-fuel technology, the WEN DF1100T can run on either 120V or 240V, giving it power and flexibility. When powered by gasoline, it has an average wattage of 8,300W and a maximum wattage of 11,00W. When run on propane, it has a rated power of 7500 watts and a peak power of 9500 watts. This generator can be started with a simple pull-start mechanism, but it can also be started with a simple and elegant electric starter (battery included). With a fuel capacity of 6.6 gallons, the DF1100T can run for about 8.5 hours at 0.5 load on a full tank of gasoline (fuel consumption is approximately 0.78 GPH). With propane, it can last for about three hours (on a 20 lbs tank – propane consumption around 1.57 GPH). The DF1100T can’t be used to power sensitive electronics because its THD is quite high (15%).
Outlets
There are 6 AC outlets on the control panel: two 120V 20A (5-20R) GFCI duplexes, a 120V 30A (L5-30R) receptacle, and a 120/240V 50A (14-50R) receptacle. It also has 1 DC outlet: a 12V 8A receptacle that lets you charge batteries easily. Since it has a 14-50R outlet, this WEN unit is ready for an RV with a 50-amp service if you have an RV with 50-amp service. With an L5-30P to TT-30R adaptor, its L5-30R plug can also be used to connect a simple RV.
Features
The status and activity of the DF1100T can be easily checked on the control panel, which has a meter that shows voltage, frequency, and lifetime hours. The generator has a built-in fuel gauge that makes it easy to see at a glance how much gas is in the tank. When it comes to safety, this product has an automatic low oil shut-off and an overload protection (circuit breaker), so you can use it without worry. The WEN DF1100T comes with basic instructions and an owner’s manual to help you start the generator quickly. It also comes with oil and a propane hose, among other things. You can also buy a storage cover that is made by the company.
Mobility
The WEN DF1100T is 27.3 inches long, 20.6 inches wide, and 21.9 inches high. It has a typical open frame design that makes it stable and lets the generator be raised off the ground. This type of design is great for tough environments and heavy outdoor use. Even though the generator is technically considered to “be portable,” it will be very hard to move it by hand because it weighs 213.8 pounds (in the sense that it is movable). Once it is on the ground, it can still be moved easily with the help of its wheels and folding handle.

- We compared more than 500 portable generators at 50% load. We found that there is “skewed right” distribution for the difference between 50% load and 25% load and the median comes at 1.43. With this number we converter all the 25% load runtime to 50% load. Same with the propane efficiency, where median is 1.38.
- For some generators where propane runtime was not given, we used NIST 1994 GGE (Gasoline Gallon Equivalent) formula: 5.66 lbs. of propane = 1 gal of gasoline. All propane runtime is for 20 lbs. propane tank (4.7 gallons).

Nick Anton started WEN Products, an American power tool manufacturer and distributor, in 1951. WEN Products says that its research in random orbital technology contributed to the creation of current chainsaws, soldering tools, and wet sharpeners. The Illinois-based corporation increased the range of power tools that were available through its distribution network, including presses, drills, and of course, power generators.
