Description
The powerful and versatile Genmax GM3500iAED gives off 120V thanks to its dual-fuel technology. Even though it runs on gasoline, it has a running wattage of 3,200W and a peak wattage of 3,500W. It runs on propane and has a rated power of 2800 watts and a starting power of 3100 watts. Also, the device can work in parallel (but doesn’t come with a parallel kit), so it can be linked to a similar or compatible unit for more power. The noise level of the inverter generator is 62 dBA, which is just a little louder than an office. It has a simple pull-start mechanism and a simple and elegant electric starter (battery included). The GM3500iAED can also be started from a distance, which makes it more convenient (key fob included). The GM3500iAED makes a clean sine wave. With a Total Harmonic Distortion (THD) of less than 3%, you can safely plug your sensitive electronics into the AC outlets.
Outlets
On the control panel, there are 3 AC outlets: a duplex 120V 20A (5-20R) outlet and a 120V 30A (L5-30R) outlet. It also has 2 DC outlets: two 5V USB-A ports that make it easy to charge devices like cell phones and tablets. Even though this Genmax generator isn’t quite RV-ready, an L5-30P to TT-30R adaptor makes it easy to connect it to an RV (included).
Features
The GM3500iAED’s control panel has a digital data center that tells you things like the lifetime run hours, frequency, power output, voltage, and fuel level. This helps you keep track of its activity and status. In addition to this information, the generator has some lights that let you know right away if the oil level is too low, if the generator is overloaded, or if it is ready. In terms of safety, the generator can be used without worry because it has a circuit breaker for overheating and an automatic shut-off when the oil level gets too low. It also has the CO DETECT technology from Genmax, which checks the amount of carbon monoxide in the air while the generator is running. If the generator isn’t set up right and carbon monoxide levels get too high, the generator will turn off by itself. It’s a nice extra safety measure, but don’t forget to take your generator outside at all times. The Genmax GM3500iAED comes with a tool kit, an RV adapter, a propane hose, a key fob, and a funnel. It also comes with basic instructions and an owner’s manual to get you started right away.
Mobility
The Genmax GM3500iAED is an inverter generator. It has a case that is L20.9 in, x W12.2 in, x H19.7 in, So, it looks better than most other products with open frames. The design fits with what’s popular now and is perfect for generating power for fun. Since the GM3500iAED weighs only 56.2 lbs, you can take it anywhere you need power. It can also be moved easily thanks to its set of two wheels (dia:4 “Once it’s on the ground, you can use the telescopic handle to move it.

- We compared more than 500 portable generators at 50% load. We found that there is “skewed right” distribution for the difference between 50% load and 25% load and the median comes at 1.43. With this number we converter all the 25% load runtime to 50% load. Same with the propane efficiency, where median is 1.38.
- For some generators where propane runtime was not given, we used NIST 1994 GGE (Gasoline Gallon Equivalent) formula: 5.66 lbs. of propane = 1 gal of gasoline. All propane runtime is for 20 lbs. propane tank (4.7 gallons).
- Unlike many other sites, we actually tried to find out information about each of the above requirements. However, we are human and are therefore capable of the odd oversight or mistake. Please let us know if you spot any missing or erroneous values so that we can fix them.
About the Manufacturer
