Description
A 180 cc Ducar OHV 4-stroke engine powers the Ford FG3050P. It runs on gasoline and has a running wattage of 2,500W and a peak wattage of 3,050W. It gives off 120V. The noise level of the generator is 68 dBA, which is less than a normal conversation. It has a simple pull-start mechanism. With a full tank, the FG3050P can run for about 11 hours at 0.5 load (using about 0.36 GPH of fuel). This is because it has a 4 gallon fuel tank.
Outlets
On the control panel, there are two 120V 20A duplex outlets (5-20R). It also has 3 DC outlets: a 12V 8A receptacle (like a cigarette lighter) that makes it easy to charge your batteries, and two 5V USB ports that make it easy to charge devices like cell phones and tablets.
Features
The FG3050P’s control panel has a digital data center that tells you how many hours it has been running for so you can keep an eye on its status and activity. The generator has a built-in fuel gauge that makes it quick, easy, and convenient to check how much gas is in the machine. From a safety point of view, the product has an automatic shut-off for low oil and an overload protection (circuit breaker), so you can use it without worrying. The Ford FG3050P comes with the standard paperwork and an owner’s manual, which will help you get the device up and running quickly. It also comes with oil, a funnel, and a tool kit.
Mobility
The Ford FG3050P is L23.3 by W17.2 by H18.5 inches, and it has a typical open frame design that makes it stable and lets the generator be raised off the ground. This type of design is great for tough environments and heavy outdoor use. Since the FG3050P weighs only 92 pounds, you can take it anywhere you need power. The generator is also easier to pick up and move around because its frame is open.

- We compared more than 500 portable generators at 50% load. We found that there is “skewed right” distribution for the difference between 50% load and 25% load and the median comes at 1.43. With this number we converter all the 25% load runtime to 50% load. Same with the propane efficiency, where median is 1.38.
- For some generators where propane runtime was not given, we used NIST 1994 GGE (Gasoline Gallon Equivalent) formula: 5.66 lbs. of propane = 1 gal of gasoline. All propane runtime is for 20 lbs. propane tank (4.7 gallons).
- Unlike many other sites, we actually tried to find out information about each of the above requirements. However, we are human and are therefore capable of the odd oversight or mistake. Please let us know if you spot any missing or erroneous values so that we can fix them.
About the Manufacturer
Ford is mostly associated with Henry Ford’s Ford Motor Company, a storied US automobile company established in 1903, but its trademark can also be seen on a variety of other products, including power equipment. Affordable portable generators, water pumps, and pressure washers are available at Ford Power Equipment. Although they are manufactured and supplied by Pulsar Inc., which has a manufacturing facility in Asia, generators are actually licensed under the Ford trademark. The business does, however, guarantee excellent customer service and pre-delivery testing, and customers generally give their products very positive evaluations.
Warranty Information
There is a warranty on the Ford FG3050P for up to 2 years. This warranty may not cover all parts of the generator or may only cover certain parts. Ford’s customer service number is 1-866-591-8921 if you want to find out more about the warranty on a Ford generator. Check Ford Website for more information.
